The deal, in plain words.

These terms are an agreement between you and Stream Fusion Web, of Arizona, United States ("we", "us"), covering tessorio.com and the Tessorio Learning Academy application ("Tessorio"). By using Tessorio you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

The short version

• Tessorio is free during the private beta, and it is unfinished.
• What you write and upload stays yours. The lessons Tessorio builds for you are yours to use.
• A lesson is built by a machine. It can be wrong. Check anything that matters.
• Tessorio is not medical, legal, financial or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified teacher or professional.
• You can stop and delete your account whenever you like.

Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. If you are under 18, you must have a parent's or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms with you. A child under 13 may learn with Tessorio only alongside a parent, guardian or teacher using that adult's account, with the adult responsible for what happens in it.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it.

The beta

Tessorio is in private beta. It is free, there is no card to enter and nothing to cancel. Features appear, change and sometimes disappear. Lessons can fail to build. We may limit how much anyone can use at once, and we may pause or end the beta. If we ever start charging, we will tell you first and you will choose whether to carry on.

Your material and your lessons

Anything you type, upload or bring with you stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run Tessorio for you: to store your material, to build courses and lessons from it, and to show them back to you. That permission ends when you delete the material or close your account.

The courses and lessons Tessorio builds for you are yours to keep and use, including for teaching your own students, subject to these terms. Other people may be given lessons that come out similar, because similar requests produce similar results.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use, and do not use Tessorio to copy a book, a course or anything else that belongs to somebody else.

What lessons are, and are not

Tessorio builds lessons with artificial intelligence. That means a lesson can state something that is wrong, out of date or incomplete, however confident it sounds. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, and especially before you rely on it at work.

Tessorio is for learning. It is not medical, legal, financial, tax or safety advice, and it is not a diagnosis, a qualification or a substitute for a professional. A hands-on lab is a practice of a task, not training or certification for doing that task in the real world. Nothing Tessorio produces is accredited by anyone, and it is not affiliated with or accredited by any Montessori organisation.

Fair use of the service

Please do not:

• break the law with Tessorio, or use it to harm, harass or deceive somebody;
• use it to make material that sexualises children, incites violence, or spreads hate;
• try to break into it, overload it, or get around its limits;
• scrape it, copy its code, or resell access to it;
• pretend that Tessorio, or a lesson it made, comes from someone it does not.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.

Our side

Tessorio, its name, its look and its software belong to us. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of it. Tell us about a bug or a flaw and we may use what you tell us without owing you anything for it.

Ending it

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account, and we will delete your information as described in the privacy policy. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering Tessorio, and we will give you what notice we can.

No warranty

Tessorio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that anything it produces is correct. Some places do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or losses caused by relying on something a lesson said. Our total liability for any claim connected with Tessorio is limited to one hundred United States dollars (US$100), or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. During the beta you pay nothing, so this limit is one hundred dollars.

You cover us

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you uploaded or did with Tessorio, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

Which law, and where

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute belongs to the state or federal courts sitting in Maricopa County, Arizona, and we each agree to those courts. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away rights your own country gives you.

Before filing anything, please write to us. Almost everything is fixable by email.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email the address on your account and change the date at the top. Carrying on using Tessorio after a change means you accept it.

Odds and ends

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account to someone else without our permission. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about Tessorio.
