What this site stores, and how to turn it off.

This site sets no advertising cookies and has no trackers from social networks. It does count visits, with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, so we can see which pages help and where people get stuck. You can say no, and the site works exactly the same. Here is everything that is stored or requested, in full.

Stored on your own computer

Both are kept by your browser, on your device, and neither is sent to us. The answers say only which kind of learner you picked and which pace, for example "visual" and "steady".

Counting visits: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

If your choice allows it, two services run on this site:

• Google Analytics counts visits: which pages are read, how people found the site, roughly which country and device they use, and how many join the early access list. Google does not store your IP address. We have switched off Google signals and every advertising feature, so none of it is used to show you adverts.
• Microsoft Clarity shows us where people click and scroll, as heatmaps and as replays of a visit. Anything typed into a form, such as your email address, is hidden before it leaves your browser, so a replay shows blank boxes, not what you wrote.

We keep Google Analytics reports for 14 months. Clarity keeps replays for 30 days and heatmap totals for up to 13 months. What these services do with the data is set out in Google's privacy policy and the Microsoft privacy statement.

When we ask, and when we don't

• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, nothing runs until you press "That's fine". If you press "No thanks" or ignore the question, neither service loads.
• Everywhere else, both run when you arrive, and "Cookie choices" at the foot of every page turns them off. Saying no removes their cookies from this site and stops them loading again.
• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends it, neither service loads, wherever you are.

Asked for from another company

The type on this site comes from Google Fonts. Loading it tells Google's servers the address of the device asking for the font, which is how any web address works. It is not used to identify you here, and we receive nothing from it. Apart from the two services above, when your choice allows them, nothing else on the page is loaded from another company.

When you sign in

Once accounts open, the Tessorio application will need a sign-in cookie to remember that it is you between pages. That is a strictly necessary cookie: without it, signing in cannot work. It is not used for advertising, and this page will be updated to name it. The application does not run Google Analytics or Clarity.

Turning it off

Press "Cookie choices" at the foot of any page and choose "No thanks". Press "Start over" under the four questions and your answers are deleted straight away. Clearing site data in your browser does both. Nothing on this site breaks if you block storage or cookies.

Do Not Track and global privacy signals

We honour Global Privacy Control as a "no" to analytics, as described above. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising.
