How AI Actually Works: From Neurons to ChatGPT

A plain-language, picture-first tour of what is really happening inside an AI chatbot, built from zero with no math or coding required. By the end you can explain how a language model learns and writes, say why it sometimes makes things up, and use AI tools with sharp prompts and honest fact-checking.

How the course works

Learned, not just watched

It starts from what you know

Before it plans, Tessorio asks what you want and what you already know, and a short check skips what you have. The course starts where you're shaky.

Each idea is shown, then checked

Lessons are narrated, and the picture draws itself as each part is named. After each idea the lesson stops and asks you a question.

What you miss comes back

A wrong answer gets an explanation of why. Topics you keep missing become catch-up lessons.

A tutor beside every lesson

Pause and ask about what's on screen. A big question can become a lesson of its own.

Questions

Asked often

Do I need math or coding?

No. Everything is shown in pictures and built up from zero. The course is written for adults and teens aged 14 and up.

Is it about using AI tools or understanding them?

Both. Most of the course explains how models work, from a single neuron to attention and the transformer. The last units turn that into practice: better prompts, and checking what comes back.

Why does AI make things up?

A language model writes by predicting likely next words, not by looking facts up. The course has a unit on exactly this: invented citations, out-of-date facts, fuzzy questions and skewed data.

Can I learn a different AI topic?

Yes. Name any AI topic, like machine learning for your job or AI in healthcare, and Tessorio plans a course on it from what you already know.

What does it cost?

The free courses in the Tessorio Library need no account and cost nothing. Plans are Self-learning $19.99 a month, Family $29.99, Teacher $19.99 and Course Creator $79. Paying yearly costs ten times the monthly price, so two months are free. Each plan includes the whole Library and a set number of new lesson minutes a month; watching and rewatching never use them.
